I have this habit of picking up a little treat at the grocery store — sometimes it’s dessert, sometimes it’s a new hot sauce. Accidentally found myself deep in habanero this month. Verdict thus far:

El Yucateco Caribbean > Tabasco Habanero > Melinda’s Extra Hot Original Habanero*

*controversial opinion on this sub, but I did like the more straight forward flavor of this bottle and the creamy ghost pepper habanero wing sauce over the fire roasted habanero, which just tasted a bit muddled to me

I’d love to try other options that lean into the fruit of the habanero. I’d also love to try something totally different; maybe in a smokier chipotle direction. I can handle the sort of heat that El Yucateco brings, but am more invested in flavor than ear-ringing pain these days due to some medical factors. My local grocery store is decently stocked, but if the bottle is special enough I can make a special order down the line.

Tl;dr – drop your fav grocery store picks, please and thank you!

Melinda’s Ghost Pepper Wing Sauce is pretty amazing.

Tabasco Chipotle is one of my favorite sauces.

I LOVE Karma’s ghost island. It’s got a limey Caribbean flavor.
