With 2 sides or just on big

The one with two sides is better, so you can separate meat and veggies imo.

I prefer the ones without the divider as the ones with 2 sides are more effort to clean and typically mix anyway unless kept perfectly flat and stable. Most meal preps i’ve seen people do in them don’t make sense – such as cold salad in one side and something that needs microwaving on the other. If I need to separate meals, i’ll just put it into two containers.

I use the one big container only. I can live with two different foods touching. Two sides get in the way when you’re saving one specific meal instead of two different things. But if you can just get both

You can’t stack or nest the first kind in cabinets

i have both and the second is better, the separated one seems better but is harder to clean and sides aren’t big enough by themselves. Big container .

I have both, the ones with sides (but both is airtight so they don’t mix together), and the big and small rectangle ones… buy depending on your needs and wants (are you ok with food mixing together etc)

No divider is less niche. I’ve had mine for 10 years and still use them daily. If I need to divide something, I’ll put it in a separate smaller container. That functionality does not transfer backwards so get the no divider.

Also, these things do not nest well in the cabinets no matter which style you get.

I bought 10 of the single one and 5 of the split one. I find myself using the single one way more often. If I need to have a hot and cold item in it-I end up using a separate container so I can reheat the hot item by itself.

Divided one. I have both the 2 part and 3 part. You can prep noodle soups with different components requiring different cooking times.

Definitely the first one, because you can put vegetables on the side without mixing them with the main food

I literally own the first one. I like it a lot. Just keep in mind that the divider doesn’t fully go up so if you tilt it, any liquids will run into the other compartment. The smaller side is smaller than I expected. Great for little stuff like carrots. I tend to end up using non dividing compartments more to be honest

Really depends on your meals. I honestly prefer the ones with a divider because I make a lot of stew based things so I always have to separate the stew/veggies part from my carbs/starch for freezing/refrigeration. But I have both sets just in different materials so my glassware has the dividers but then my plastic ones are just the regular circular ones no divider so I pick and choose depending on what I’m trying to meal prep.

I have maybe 20 of the Ikea one, they are very good except that if you leave them in the freezer for an extended period of time the plastic handles break. Having a divider would be awful since you can’t stack them.

  14. I have been using the exact IKEA ones for years, divider ones are just crap.
