I like having options, but 90 meals per week is just too many. There are 2 different shrimp lo mein recipes the week of August 25.

  1. And one of them even has different protein choices, oh no!

Too many choices is a weird complaint. Some people may like one veggie and not the other and will be happy. Someone else may love Lo Mein noodles and be happy they can choose two different recipes the same week.
You wouldn’t complain about two meals with potatoes or two meals with rice, or would you?

Out of everything that I hate about HF, this ain’t in top 10

I’ve been thinking as well that the list has gotten too lengthy. The amount of choices was never an issue for me, now scrolling through such a long list has become more like work. I have to winnow the list down and now I need to go through it several times to pull out a list from which to choose. It used to be fun and now it’s less fun and more time consuming.

The quality of their choices can be argued but do we really need a hundred or more options every week? Have they decided to add more meals next year and at what point will people acknowledge the amount becomes unwieldy? On top of all the scrolling, I deal with inventory so the thought of managing so many perishable items is daunting.

If I could vote I’d go back to fewer (better) options each week, the improved meals within the selection is wonderful but I’d like it to be fun and not a chore to scroll through the list. Besides they have more than enough excess food options in the extras grocery section. FWIW I also noticed the similarity.

They either should have consolidated these two, or given the new one a different name. They’re different enough that the name shouldn’t be exactly the same.

It’s just a weird quirk in how they are displaying the different protein and vegetable customizations. I also suspect every combination has to be a separate entry to make the filtering work. It does make it easier to see when meals have multiple choices for protein.

More choices is good, give options to more people who might want something different. For example I don’t like green beans so the one without is great for me.
