KUTV — A Mapleton, Utah resident is trading the balance beam for the cutting board in the newest season of Food Network’s hit show “Worst Cooks in America.”
Rebekah “Bean” Ripley, a gymnast, coach, content creator, and business owner, is putting her culinary skills to the test in this season’s “Talented and Terrible” themed competition.
While Ripley has mastered incredible athletic feats, cooking has proven to be her Achilles’ heel. The gymnast, who went viral for her “Barbie Floor Routine” a performed with a knee brace after multiple ACL and meniscus tears, is now facing a different kind of challenge in the kitchen.
Ripley runs Gymnastics Mindset Mastery, where she helps athletes build confidence and overcome obstacles. Now she’s putting her own advice to the test as she and other recruits face high-pressure culinary challenges under the guidance of chef coaches Gabe Bertaccini and Anne Burrell.
The ultimate prize? Beyond shedding the title of “worst cook,” the winner takes home $25,000 and invaluable culinary skills.
Will our local gymnast stick the landing in the kitchen? Tune in to “Worst Cooks in America” Mondays at 9/8c on Food Network, with episodes streaming the following day on Max, to follow Ripley’s culinary journey!
