Everyone saying Tillamook Oregon Strawberry tasted like strawberry milkshake was totally right.
Strawberry milkshake has like this specific taste of natural strawberry blended with heavy cream (or something like that) and strawberry syrup like you’d find on top of strawberry sundaes at McDonalds (or anywhere else really).
This was an ok ice cream with a slightly unique taste of a good tasting strawberry milkshake at a well regarded fast food place like Cook Out.
No it’s not as good as Haagen Dazs. Not as fragrant or as powerfully strawberry tasting. But it does have a mix of natural strawberry and sweetened strawberry syrup flavor which I think could work in any combination where you’d want a specific milkshake flavor. Such as making a strawberry cheesecake kind of flavor.
The strawberry pieces were small to medium size and a good addition.
**Rating: 7/10. A bit unique strawberry milkshake flavor with some natural strawberry flavor. A bit underwhelming compared to Haagen Dazs, but nice enough.

How’s the texture of the base?
I’ll add that as far as Tillamook flavors go, their Oregon Dark Cherry and Peaches and Cream are about the same quality.
But I did prefer the other two flavors because they are more rare to find in large sizes and I think Tillamook did a good job with them and their natural taste. Those two would be my pick over strawberry, which while a tad unique is also a more common flavor to find big sizes of.
And honestly, I think other brands can do about as good of a job. Strawberry tends to be one of the easier flavors to do well since it so naturally fragrant.
I need to try this again in case they changed the recipe. For a while I thought it was literally the best strawberry ice cream on the market. Really creamy with a rich flavor.

I’ve never liked the type of strawberry syrup that’s used for ice creams and milkshakes, so yeah, I really didn’t like this flavor from Tillamook. That distinct syrupy sweetness this ice cream has— tasted so strange to me. I’m gonna just stick to strawberry ice creams that have more of a natural strawberry flavor because this one wasn’t for me.
