Bought this rolled brisket today that I'm gonna throw in the slow cooker. But I don't want to make it all at once, is there any down side to splitting in half?

    I wouldn’t split it simply because if it is cooked all at once, you can throw the other cooked half in the freezer just as easily as raw, and…voila, a quick easy meal some night when you don’t have a lot of time. No reason safety wise not to freeze raw, but I like the ease of grabbing something out of the freezer ready to go.
