Hey ya’ll 👋🏻 ..I’ve been growing hot peppers for years now, and have had some success in the past due to you helpful folks. I’ve never posted before but wanted to share my current grow since so far it’s been one of my most fruitful seasons.. I’m in Texas where it’s been around 100 degrees lately, so I’ve moved all 18 of my plants under the carport where they get a couple hours of sunlight first thing in the morning and 100% shade the rest of the day. I was struggling to get water to seep through the top inch of soil so I started bottom watering. The 3-gallon grow bags fit nicely into a 5 gallon bucket, so once per week I line up 4-5 buckets, fill’em up about 3/4 full of water and set the plants right in there.. after 5 minutes or so they’re fully saturated and I take them out and put in the next 4-5 plants. When I do this I typically add 2oz of Neptune’s harvest and/or a small amount of foxfarms tiger bloom to each bucket. I’ve also got a fish aquarium in the house and do partial water changes every other week.. I’ve been taking that dirty ass fish water and putting it directly on the plants and they seem to really like that shit

The current lineup is:
-mayan habanero
-hot paper lantern
-trinidad scorpion
-scotch bonnet
-peri peri
-aji charapita
-jays peach ghost
-fatalii (definitely not what I ended up with, but whatever it is it’s insanely hot)

I use Happy Frog 4.9.3 as well. The plant above is a beast that is about a tenth of the fruit I have growing. You doing anything else besides tiger?

Your plants are just outstanding tho, love the huge bushy canopy.

I bet in Texas you have already been harvesting eh? Wyoming here, harvest of first Habs still 2-3 weeks out.

    Well done my friend.

Beautiful! What kind of grow bags and do they last long?

They sure look nice and healthy to me. Seems like you got the soil mix and watering schedule down very well and organized. Nice job! And nice pics.

Those look great! You’re doing an amazing job keeping them healthy in that heat!
What’s been the most productive so far?

I’m going to bottom water my grow bags now. No idea why I never thought of that!

Wait until you learn you can but a barb on the lower side of the bucket attached to a tube as tall as the bucket. Then you can take the hose / tube whatever and drain the bucket by simply lowering it.

Should save some random seeds and plant them next year see if anything cool pops up

Damn that’s awesome! I’m using 5 gallon bags and your peppers are already way bigger than mine. I’m definitely going to try this next year!

How long into the fruiting do you do the Neptunes or tiger bloom? I just started on tiger bloom for the first time.

I threw 30% shade cloth over my greenhouse and the plants are so much happier. It stays about 90° in there and they get a full day of 30% sun. I’ve been blasting with fossilized guano and kelp meal extract. I also have a few jugs of liquid compost of Apples and Sunflower heads that I just started feeding too for fruiting food. Do you trellis at all? No matter what I do, my plants can’t hold themselves up
