One of my habaneros turned out to be.. well this. Any ideas what it is?
Maybe pepperoncini? Not banana or anything I have ever grown before. Just curious.

They look similar to the‘Dragon Roll’ pepper I bought on clearance at Home Depot. Healthy, nice looking peppers but about as exciting as a banana pepper. I’ve been letting them go red and hoping for a little heat or flavor, but it’s just a waste of 3 sqft of my small garden imo

Did you save the seeds yourself? Any chance they cross pollinated last year and you made your own hybrid?

shishito or pepperoncini

Habanero x shishito maybe? Chocolate habaneros get stretchy like this. Or maybe it’s just a real weird expression from unstable genetics.
