I made Kenji’s Thai-Style Beef with Basil, Fish Sauce, and Crispy Fried Shallots

    This was really tasty, I enjoyed making the homemade fried shallots and had extras to snack on. I used flap steak for the beef and Red Boat for the fish sauce. I didn’t have to season to tatse at the end for this one, as has been the case with most of the recipes in the book that came before this one (been working my way through in order).
