Some are normal green. Some are super gnarly. I don't have pictures but some have also got gnarly while staying green.

  1. Jalapenos ripen to red, green jalapenos are just unripe jalapenos, the pattern you see on the ripe jalapenos are called corking, and is usually something something that is desired (for aesthetic reasons [won’t affect the taste]). Corking is basically just stretch marks.
