Tired of the endless burgers, tacos, and burritos, I wanted something new. However, given the late night hours there are few other options. Enter Navat.

Navat is a food-truck/stand, with several locations around LA. It specializes in halal food, such as kebabs, rice plates, and wraps. (Man, I wish we had the NYC halal chicken and rice scene, but alas.).

Place mad decent. Better than decent. I got a Berlin style doner kebab. It was huge. It was also well toasted and well wrapped with every bite full of meat, but also veggies and fries. I couldn’t place the sauce but I wonder if it’s the same sauce they use in Berlin.

It cost me about $18 out the door which is steep, especially compared to burgers, tacos and tortas late night. That and the fact that the hot sauce was not hot holds it back from a 9.
