Travelling Burgundy Day 1

First day in Burgundy. We arrived yesterday in Beaune and made sure to stop on our way at DRC. So we have visited the legendary Romanee Conti vineyard.

Afterwards checked in to the hotel and headed to town. Where we visited Marche aux Vins. Lovely little musuem and store feauturing different wines from the regions. We die the tasting of 5 wines

2. Chateau de Marsannay – Marsannay 2021
3. Hospices de Beaune – Cuvée Lebelin Monthelie 2017
4. Edmond Chalmeau & Fils – Chablis 2023
5. Château de Marsannay
   Hospices de Dijon Cuvèe de Maizière – Puligny-Montrachet 2021

All the wines were very good but there is still a lot of potential left. My top pick from the tasting was the Puligny-Montrachet 2021:

Slightly reductive Chardonnay. Yellow apple, vanilla (super integrated), lemon, oak. Medium acidity. Good grip on the palate.
