this is a story of how I reversed my pre-diabetic blood work in just 3 months let’s start from the beginning a little less than 2 years ago I was diagnosed with PCOS I still remember the shock when I got my blood test results back for context throughout College I was eating a high carb diet rice sweet potatoes oatmeal you name it this one’s a bit embarrassing but there was a phase where I avoided protein because I was afraid it would make me bulky naive right what I didn’t realize was that a high carb diet was only worsening my PCOS symptoms when my doctor had reviewed my laps and told me I was in the pre-diabetic range I remember thinking to myself I’m in my early 20s and I’m already at risk of type 2 diabetes and that’s when I knew something had to change so here’s some things that help me reverse my pre-diabetic blood sugar levels in just 3 months without giving up rice first I always make sure there’s more protein than carbs on my plate I used to treat rice as the main dish but now I rely on protein to keep me full number two I never let something high carb be my first bite in my meal I start with veggies or protein to avoid shocking my blood sugar number three I eat a big high protein breakfast within the first 30 minutes of waking up number four I prioritize walking after all my meals even if it’s just a short walk around the parking lot

  1. I wake up around 6.00. I can't eat a big breakfast within 30 mins. So tough to stuff stomach that early

  2. I was diagnosed with PCOS too but ๐Ÿ˜ข i can't eat rice because i get bloated i drink lime with Water every morning in an empty stomach and eat 1 clove of raw crushed garlic 15 mins before eating some fresh carrots and boiled broccoli with papaya and some moringa leaves soup with eggs.

  3. I always hated bread even rice and even sodas . But ill eat cake ๐Ÿ˜… so i use alot of 0 sugar products but catch myself wanting natural sugar pieces of carrot cake or chocolate chip cookies ๐Ÿช or kettle corn pop corn . ๐Ÿค“.๐ŸŽ‰ . I think if i exercised i would feel my best.

  4. The fact that doctors donโ€™t know this is an embarrassment and shows you how little they know about nutrition and how qualified they are.
White rice has its nutrients removed during the refining process. This means when you eat it, it makes your body give up nutrients to digest and utilize it. This leads to diseases, weakens your body, makes your body smaller, makes your eyes smaller, takes away the color in your eyes. Just look up refined grains and disease.

  5. There is ABSOLUTELY no reason to eat " HIgh protein breackfast within first 30 minutes of waking up ' unless you are hungry . look up intermitent fasting.

  6. Be careful with one part of your strategy. Protein takes longer to digest than carbs especially refined carbs. So if you eat carbs after protein the carbs stay in your digestive track longer than usual and ferment. So if you develop unusual gas and bloating consider this, if not no worries.

Keep carb intake low, there are quick release carbs and slow release carbs. To avoid blood sugar spikes eat carbs with fibre as fibre reduces blood sugars spikes. One cup of rice should be ok. With high fibre veggies all the better๐Ÿ˜Š Congratulations on your health improvement ๐Ÿ˜Š
I am borderline diabetic now for about 15 years and kept on top of it for quite awhile. The diabetic classes taught 45-60 grams of carbs for 3 meals, with 15 grams of carbs of snack in between. This was more than sufficient to keep blood sugars normal. It is actually how everyone used to eat at home, before the all you can eat buffets๐Ÿ˜‚1970s lol.
With all of the instruction from diabetic classes, I still had trouble with unusual gas and bloating so it was not covered in the classes.

Before I was scheduled to take the classes, I cut out ALL carbs, except a bit of fruit . Because I was actually terrified, since my preteen cousin was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes(1970s) and I remember what she went through. Also later I was in nursing school and saw a 45year old lady in the palliative care unit in a bad way, not long to live, this was in 1980s when not much was known about how to care for the condition.

In fact at the classes the saying was "below five don't drive" and with the carb restrictions my sugars actually went to 4.6 once so I felt fatigue of course and I was in the vehicle so had to pull over and drink some orange juice and wait able bit before driving. Canadian measurements say normal readings between meals and waking up is 5-7, then, 7-10 after meals.

Lesson being do not cut carbs entirely and watch they do not go low. Always have a carb source on hand in case they do. And, exercise brings the carbs down so watch that as well.

My opinion is the diabetic diet is simply a normal portion diet.

All the best to you thought I would mention the tips.

Congratulations on your current successes ๐Ÿ˜Š

  7. What?! You have PCOS & you aren't 300lbs!!! (that was sarcasm) b/c I know way to many women who use PCOS as an excuse to be over 300lbs. They say things like "I can't help being 300lbs I have PCOS" but PCOS can be managed quite well with the proper diet & exercise.

  8. โคThank you for this information. I also heard that if you cook rice & potatoes, then refrigerate them, and then cook & eat, it is much better for blood sugar. ๐ŸŽ‰

  9. The walking trick absolutely helps. If you don't have the time, doing body weight squats is also very good.

  10. Whatโ€™s important to know is PCOS is an endocrine disorder which canโ€™t be resolved by dieting and exercise. Diabetes has nothing to do with carbs and everything to do with pancreas not functioning properly. Thatโ€™s what the doctors arenโ€™t addressing. Try detoxing at a cellular level and balancing hormones using herbs like red clover with sea moss , bladderwrack, dong quai โ€ฆ

  11. Iโ€™m 55 , and Ive trying to reverse this for at least 3 years!

Awesome tips, only thing is I usually do my morning walk at 6:45 AM, I may start eating right after that instead of waiting until 11. I have noticed that my numbers are better, but still not out of the pre-diabetes range. My weakness is usually dark chocolate almonds are pistachios. I have been eating cantaloupe, plums, and making more smoothies at home. Iโ€™m going to keep moving! I usually do weights 2-3 times a week, and Iโ€™m doing more stretching!๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

  12. You're an awesome woman, but ladies.. please stop objectifying yourself by wearing tight yoga pants. Youre the reason men have trouble being faithful.

  13. I was prediabetic in my 30s while being physically fit. I worked out 3 hours a day 6 days a week ( 1 hour of running, 2 hours of cardio (Tybo and dance)) and my diet was perfect (various lean proteins (beef, chicken, turkey & fish), low carbs, all the veggies I could get which I love veggies)๐Ÿ‘Œ. I collapsed one day during a workout and had no clue as to why. Sometimes it has nothing to do with diet. Often times it's from genetics, autoimmune issues or medications.
All the same, I'm so glad you're doing better ๐Ÿ’œ.

  14. You should learn to avoid rice and vegetables altogether. fatty red Meat, eggs, Fish, butter, bacon, salt and water is all the human body needs. 0g carbs per day.

  15. I recently read that freezing or refrigerating rice for at least 24hours then reheat and eat helps reduce sugar spikes from rice

  16. Lol, it's so funny to me how people, especially women, think even just eating protein will make them swole… Girl, do you know how HARD it is to become muscly?! What bulk?๐Ÿ˜‚

  17. watching this just brought back a core memory of when I was a teen and I was dating a Chinese girl. I came over and met her family and the daughters cooked for the parents. they made something very similar and I loved it. lots of kimchi on top. They taught me the proper way to use chopsticks.

  18. ozempic helped but what worked best was exercise/diet. Eat healthy best but if you cant, try to exercise. The more you do, the better your calorie deficit will be. So you can outeat and yet you wonโ€™t gain weight. That worked with me but yeah try it

  19. Hey, can you tell me what is that eggy, tasty-looking dish ๐Ÿคค? I've never seen something like this and I would like to try to make it at home.

  20. TURN TO JESUS BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!!!!
He died for our sins, so if we have faith in Him and obey God, at the end we will peacefully with them๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’•(for eternal life!)๐Ÿ’“

  21. Yes , some many people gets I'll with diabetes and obesity in Thailand, Japan, India in comparison with the USA, as the people in these countries eat mostly plant based diets like rice ….
