You can pickle with it. It makes savory pickles. Then when you are done after a few picklings where it gets wet from pulling out the juice, you can use it to make very tasty miso soup.

Miso braised pork chops is actually the best thing to do. This particular recipe has never found a negative review in the 7+ years I have been using it. I don’t use the same pork cut every time. I have found that pork tenderloin (cut into pieces around 5 x 5 cm) works best.

Mix with a little mayo for a vegetable dip. Not all miso brands work well for this though.
Add to scrambled eggs instead of salt.
Marinade for (grilled) chicken.
Theres a few recipes for baked/roasted chicken with miso. Pretty good stuff.
Miso black cod
Make a glaze and use it for all the meats.
My husband makes some MEAN miso leeks.
There are a million uses for that delicious salty paste.
I use it on salmon. The website JustOneCookbook.com has a couple of recipes for it.
Mix 1/3 miso 2/3 butter and top fish fillets with it. Also, I use that same mix to make popcorn sometimes π

I add a little when I stir-fry udon, along with some thin sliced veggies, oyster sauce, low sodium soy sauce, sesame oil, and garlic oil. Delicious.

Make a marinade for steak with miso, garlic, and soy sauce, or just the miso by itself
Some people just put garlic in miso in a jar and it ferments the garlic which you can add to stuff
If you have an air fryer, make yakionigiri with miso.
You can do a lot with with, I personally would rather use miso without the dashi to do other seasonings. But to each their own.

I like to marinate chicken with miso and Yuzu kosho (green not red) I like to use the saikyo style miso when I do that. Sweet and spicy mix.
