With the addition of the Kitchen Storm update in Roblox’s Grow a Garden, there’s now a new NPC who will want to take your lovingly crafted food items off your hands: the Food Connoisseur. Now you have to weigh up whether to give a meal to Chris P. or the Connoisseur, as each offers different rewards.

The thing is, the Food Connoisseur only accepts Mutated Food items, so it’s a no-brainer that you give Chris P. the regular food and save the Mutated ones for the rat. Here’s everything you need to know.

How To Submit Food For Connoisseur Kitchen Reviews

Submitting food for review in Roblox Grow a Garden.

The Food Connoisseur will only accept Mutated food items. To get these, a ‘Lucky Cook’ result guarantees a mutation from one of your ingredients being applied, so use crops that have mutations in your cooking recipes. You can also choose to skip handing in an actual item by paying 89 Robux instead.

The more mutated crops you use in a recipe, or the rarer the mutation is, the higher the chance of a Lucky Cook result and the food will have one or more of the mutations applied. You can see what your chance of mutation will be based on the dial above the cooking pot. Triggering a Kitchen Storm increases the chance of mutations being applied to food.

How Can I Tell If My Food Is Mutated?

You can tell if your food is mutated because it will have the same tell-tale animations over it when you hold it that you’re used to seeing on crops, and in your inventory, you will see the mutations listed before the food item name.
