This is definitely a unique flavor. I like it but it does not go good with everything. I've been eating it on avocado. What else would be good? Maybe ceviche?

It is fantastic on fish and seafood. Delicious and fresh but not really spicy at all.

Definitely ceviche and anything fish is delicious. I had a little taster bottle I put in a bowl of honeydew with some Tajin, and thought it was delicious. Probably not for everyone though

  3. What’s the consensus of Marie Sharp’s vs Melinda’s? Unfortunately I wasn’t aware of the fact that Melinda’s was a stolen trademark from THE Marie Sharp, who named her original sauce Melinda’s after her farm. Now I feel guilty buying Melinda’s, is it worth switching to Marie Sharp’s?

I almost experimented with making a grapefruit hab sauce the other day. After reading it’s really only great on fish/seafood, I’m glad I didn’t make it 😂 I don’t eat enough seafood to make it worth it.

This is simultaneously fascinating and terrifying. Fuck it, I’m ordering a bottle.

Agree with your statement, it’s interesting and good but it’s not something you can use on everything. Very bitter, obviously, super citrus and acidic but decent heat and flavor. Avocado toast would be good, mix it into your Guacamole for some extra flavor and kick. Quesadillas with this and some sour cream would be fire.

It is incredible on any kind of whitefish or seafood

I’ve always appreciated Marie sharp’s unique flavoring, but yes, that does limit its application.

  9. This is a Marie Sharp’s I’ve never heard of. Gotta try it!

  10. Seems like it could have good cocktail potential – rimming a glass for spicy margs (or even in the drink), Bloody Mary, etc.
