Just ate an extra hot slider from Dave's hot Chicken and it was nice but not hot enough. I understand I may be making a mistake, especially since I have to drive down from Waco to Austin after trying it.

Sometimes they make it way hotter. I’ve had it a few times and was fine, but the last time it felt like my stomach was going to blow up. It was so bad. Never again. And I have a pretty high tolerance for spicy food.

I’ve now had the reaper tender three times. Two times it was super hot, but one time it wasnt too hot. All times after my belly was fine and fireball shits the next day as expected. Honestly though, that tender tastes kinda gross.

when you get to Austin and if you are still in the mood for hot chicken, consider Tumble 22. The ‘stupid hot’ is not as hot as Dave’s reaper, but I like the flavor better. Also, the ‘Korean style’ variation is really good (adds gochujang and a sweet component).

I had the reaper tender and I really wasn’t thrilled with it. It was just insane heat and the powder really didn’t have a pleasant flavor. Couldn’t taste the chicken, couldn’t taste anything but the pickle.
For me, its novelty food, something along the lines of those “Big Bills Ass Blaster” hot sauces and etc. Its just heat and 0 flavor.

I’ve done it 3x. The second one sat in my intestines for like 24 hours and my body did everything to insulate me from that nuclear timebomb. My digestion was off for like 3 days after. I love heat. Extreme heat but I donno if it’s something I should do again. Ehh. I probably will at some point. I don’t learn.

The heat level is all over the place. Got the reaper twice and it was hot, but not terrible…the third time, i was in line with my friend saying “reaper isnt that bad” and then i got nuked. Way hotter and the worst stomach pain i’ve ever had. Very fun.
