I’ve never seen them before and they look like a pain.

Ew, no. I hate them. Please make the picture go away.

    What? No

We’re not too fancy to use 1/3 steam table divider bars

ETA: I’m referring to the wavy pans in the center of the photo.

There doesn’t even seem to be much difference in size/capacity. I don’t see it making a big difference anyway other than to make things more difficult.

I don’t work in the industry, but that pisses me off just looking at it.

Those look like a pain in the dick to clean.

This is a wild attempt at reinventing the wheel

Hey “dishwasher’s name” can you wash some more wavy middle 9 pans(?) when you get a second?

really we should all be talking about the 8th pan

These make me angry just looking at them

I’ve seen end ones that didn’t need a middle. Wavy 1/2 hotels basically. Those seemed pointless but not problematic. These don’t all stack so… hell no.

Is this ai? Why would you have ice cream on a steam table? Or why would you have a steamer/reefer combo? I hate those pans

Usually, when you see things like this it was at the request of a large chain customer.

The customer will agree to purchase a certain amount to make it worth the hassle for the manufacturer.

The manufacturer will then sell the overrun inventory to the general public.

I hate everything about that cold & hot & warm table…

I would be pissed if we got these. That seems like a bad idea to get locked into that company’s consumables environment. Like what happens if they go under and you’re left with a bunch of things that don’t work with anything else?

Ugh, yeah. What call them “wild” pans. They drive me nuts, but it’s what everyone gravitates towards and I can’t understand why.
