I bought it a few years ago but I’m not touching it now.

Chicken!! Send it to Norway and I’ll take it

A few years old they’re safe but probably won’t taste as good as they did fresher. Even dried chiles have a shelf life. Once they’re brittle and no longer pliable with their natural oils they lose a lot of flavor.

It won’t be nearly as hot lol wasted

I packaged that a few years ago and probably sold it to you at a market in Berlin or the UK. 😅 It might have lost some flavour and heat but is probably no less safe to eat than it was when you bought it.

I feel ya.
A while back I had a small credit at Sonoran Spice to use, so I ordered 1oz ea of dried Reapers, Trinidad Scorpions, Ghosts, Habaneros, and Jalapeno peppers. I still haven’t opened any of em, and there’s more than you’d think there’d be in those bags.

I ate one once, I thought I was going to die.
Had heartburn and sweats and didn’t sleep all night.
Threw it up the next morning.
My body simply rejected it.

If you want the high but don’t want pain you can chew it up and spit it out

Had a big bag of dried reapers. Ground them into chili flakes and put them on everything. Adds great hate with 0 taste

You could make 2 gallons of really spicy chicken soup

Dried chiles should be rehydrated, chopped then added to your dish while cooking.

My Reaper is flowering right now. I’m a bit scared.

My mouth is watering.

Turn them into a nice rub for a roast or brisket
Hayate1993
Having ate a ghost pepper, I honestly don’t blame you for leaving it be.

I add these to my Chinese and Mexican chili crisp recipes. The base chilis are sichuan and arbol, respectively. I recently have been able to add 2 reapers, which is pretty hot. I’m now used to it. At first, I just added half of one.

Seeds might still be viable.
