I made another steak tonight. Last night’s was 2 mins and rare, tonight was 3 mins and med well, I think 2.5 minutes is the sweet spot for next time.

    Thickness and starting meat temp plays a big part. Are you going straight from the fridge or letting it sit on the counter before cooking?

    Agree on what the other guy said, you know what a medium rare steak feels like to the touch. Personally I just give it a quick poke with the tongs and once its a hair squishier than a medium rare, I pull it

    You got the sear down perfectly. The 30 seconds is easy fix. The sear looks amazing
