Looks like it would taste like Italian salad dressing in jello format
iiiimagery

…It looks like it should be called puke in a pocket.

I didn’t buy it, but I’m sorely tempted… a friend said it looked like if someone was trying to smuggle vomit

This looks to be a modern equivalent of those veggie filled jelly molds yourd see in old 50s USA cookbooks. Still would not try.

I think morbid curiosity would get the best of me here. Maybe it’s like semi-solid relish? I can’t imagine a scenario in which I’d eat relish on its own.
HintOfMadness
I think the the texture of it discourages people to try it. I like pickled veggies, but I’d grab a jar of it and not this. Although, Japan does use quality ingredients so in the region I’d give it a try if given a chance.

I believe these ‘sticks’ of food are designed to be added to or eaten along side the instant ramen also bought in the store.

Lot of eastern European countries do stuff like this. Quite tasty

I am pathetic and would eat it.

Surprise! The gelatin is actually cum of duck

Just because you don’t like it, doesn’t make it stupid. Perfectly valid consumable here.

That’s probably what it would look like on the way out.

I see other uses for friends of courgettes, gherkins and eggplants.

Send me a case or three and I’ll get to the bottom of this.
