Long Island has added another feather to its culinary cap.
Northport’s Maroni Cuisine has slid in at No. 11 on the uber-popular dining app Beli’s list of the country’s top Italian restaurants, joining a lineup of renowned eateries from New York, Chicago, Florida and beyond.
Founded in 2006, Maroni Cuisine is renowned for its Chef’s Tasting Menu, which offers an eclectic multi-course experience featuring dishes like Grandma Maroni’s Famous Spaghetti and Meatballs, Wild Boar Parmesan, and Mini Kobe Beef Sliders.
Guests can also pick from an à la carte menu that includes such favorites as Shrimp Scampi, Gagootz Parm, and a full sushi selection.

Located at 18 Woodbine Ave., the restaurant is known for its warm, attentive service and high-quality Italian cuisine, making it a popular spot among locals and visitors.
Beli (way) up
Beli, a social restaurant list-keeping app that has gained popularity among younger diners, says its ranking is based on over 70 million ratings. Other restaurants on the popular app’s list include Torrisi in New York City, Tonino in Boston and Chicago’s Monteverde.
Beli is a big deal — now arguably bigger than Yelp — that has achieved widespread popularity among younger Gen Z and millennials. Different from Yelp, where users see reviews from strangers, Beli users only see reviews from their friends, delivering a more personalized and peer-influenced experience.
Founded in 2021, Beli counts more than 70 million restaurant ratings worldwide.
Maroni has a second restaurant — located on the North Fork in Southold, 54195 Main Road.
