Nespresso is good for my house guests to use when they wake up before I do and have to wait for me to play barista.

They have the words in the wrong order. It should read: Nespresso tastes nothing like coffee

Once I forgot to take the puck out before steaming the milk. And as I usually run a blind shot at the end, boiling hot water went through an already extracted puck of coffee and the result was surprisingly similar to a nespresso lungo, so I disagree

I’ve never had nespresso so I can’t really comment

Nespresso and Keurig are very good when you need a quick cup of coffee for guests. Aside from that, they can’t compare to the coffee I get from my machine. My espresso based drinks are simply better in every way.

Honestly, I think the Nespresso concept (not Nespresso itself, screw Nestlé) is fine for those who enjoy coffee, but don’t really care about it.
For me it was my gateway to coffee. I think the taste is very comparable to what your average uncalibrated superautomic with old supermarket beans pulls off, it is very consistent and I’ve tasted much, much worse coffee in my life.

Well… they’re not wrong, that’s for sure.

I drank a cup of warm bitter piss once for a dare so I disagree.
Weird thing…I started work in a new office and being socially awkward I didn’t want to bring in my aeropress or v60 straight away. They do have a pod machine with pods on tap so I have been drinking them but from nowhere also suffering from heartburn. Stopped using the machine and also stopped having heartburn. I’m not sure if it’s coincidence.

I started with nespresso it was a quick way to make an iced latte ( not good on its own) but after a while I hated spending $60+ on pods biweekly for myself ! The Starbucks pod r gross / have a weird taste. Honestly I spend that much in coffee now BUT it specialty good quality coffee that I know is better for the coffee community / more to the farmer etc and it more like every 3 weeks ish. Love my espresso machine n grinder nespresso could never lol

Tis why I have many different ways to produce coffee at my disposal. Pour over melita 12cup, French press, Aeropress, and my gaggia classic.
