A Solihull restaurant owner was confused after a customer said the menu was ‘misleading’.

Unsure what the diner meant, the owner added: ‘it seems you have not tried fresh Italian food for a long time’.

Located on Warwick Road in Olton, L`aragosta is a traditional Italian restaurant with ‘fresh food and friendly service’.

On Google Reviews, L`aragosta has a 4.7 score out of five stars, based on over 300 independent reviews.

One customer identified as Andrew said: “Went tonight, five of us. Not a single complaint, fresh food and friendly service.”

A different diner identified as David posted: “Lobster risotto was packed full of flavour.

“Deep intense colour, was a joy.”

And another guest added: “Easy to book. We found the staff really friendly, and the owner made us feel welcome straight away.

“The food tasted amazing and well presented. The lobster ravioli was delicious and the scallops was cooked to perfection.”

However, a recent diner left a short one-star review about the popular Italian restaurant.

Stating that the menu was ‘misleading’, the customer said food ‘was horrible’.

The customer said: “Food was horrible, misleading menu.

“Only good thing was the lady who served us. Won’t recommend.”

The restaurant owner at L`aragosta responded: “Just to let you know that we serve traditional and fresh Italian food.

“I do not understand why the menu is ‘misleading’, you did not like pasta, pizza or fresh fish.

“Our menu is complex, large and there are lots of choices. It seems you have not tried fresh Italian food for a long time.

“Please tell us what was misleading.”
