HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A fundraiser for wildfire recovery is taking place this weekend.
The Maui Music and Food Experience took place Friday and will return Saturday night at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa.
The event is organized by Hua Momona Farms in Kapalua, and included an auction and a farm-to-table benefit dinner.
A generous bidder on Maui ponied up $10,000 to buy a custom koa wood guitar signed by Billy the famed bassist who played with Jimi Hendrix.
On Nov. 7, they’re taking the fundraiser to Chicago.
