here’s how to dice an onion like a chef start by trimming off the top and then cut it in half peel off the skin and then make vertical Cuts 90% of the way through the onion now spin the onion and make two horizontal Cuts then chop down the face of the cross-section to get a nice fine dice as long as you follow those steps and use a nice sharp knife you shouldn’t cry

  1. Put it in the the freezer 20 minutes and then take it out and dice it however you want, not sure why it works but it does

  2. You don't need to make the horizontal cuts, the onion is already layered and will dice when you slice down in the two planes

  3. I don’t see why you would cut horizontal because the onions have its own layers anyway. However the rest of it I agree on. I used to cut horizontally too until I saw that there is actually no need to do that and it is easier without that cut. In rest nice short, informative. There are so many people out there that don’t actually know how to do that
