WARREN, NJ — A new Italian restaurant is opening in Warren Township.

Remi’s Ristorante will open Thursday, Aug. 14 at 50 Mt Bethel Rd in Warren, replacing the former Prezzo’s.

“To us, Remi’s Ristorante is more than just a restaurant – it is a place that holds remembrance of an unbreakable friendship, deep love, and a legacy,” said Remi’s Ristorante.

At the heart of it all is Remi and Mirsad (Mario). In 1993, Mario arrived in the United States to begin a new chapter in his life, and welcoming him was Remi, whose family had known Mario’s for generations.

The two shared more than a history – they built a deep bond through the years of working side-by-side in the restaurant world.

“Remi had a rare gift for making people feel like family, and his warmth became the heart of his beloved Warren restaurant,” said the restaurant.

After Remi’s death, Mario was given the opportunity to take charge of the restaurant – a moment he did not take lightly, said the restaurant.

“For Mario, continuing Remi’s legacy wasn’t just a choice; it was a calling. He knew in his heart that the best way to honor his dearest friend was to keep his spirit alive through the very place they shared their best memories. This is why we have chosen to change the name to Remi’s Ristorante, to us it is more than just a name. It is a tribute to a man who believed food could bring people together. Guests may arrive as customers, but they will leave as part of the family,” said the restaurant.

The restaurant will be open Monday to Friday for lunch 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and dinner 3 to 10 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 4 to 10 p.m.
