Was thinking about throwing it on the smoke setting to reheat it uncovered.

Thoughts?

Hey! It looks like you posted an image!

If this is a photo of one of your cooks, maybe share the recipe and techniques
used, as it’s almost guaranteed one of the first questions you will be asked!

    *What seasoning did you use?

*How long did you cook it, and at what temperature?

*Did you use any special tricks or techniques?

    Traeger on!

I’ve zapped leftovers in the microwave and it’s turned out just fine.

When I make multiple pork butts in advance, I smoke them, rest them, then put them in the fridge without shredding. When the day comes to eat them, I pop them on the Traeger still covered and smoke them at 165 for an hour or two to reheat them, then shred them. I’m sure heating them up another way would work fine, but why not?

It’ll keep the heat out of your house. I just reheat in my oven. 350° for 25 minutes works great. Covered.

I would add a little juice and then microwave. Mostly out of laziness and speed.

I spritz w apple juice and place a metal or glass ramekin w some water in the pan. Cover tight and heat in the oven. Comes out Soft and steamy like the day it was pulled. Bit, micro worms too, lol

If you have a sous vide, that is the premiere method for reheating bbq in my opinion. Can bag em whole to reheat then if they don’t fall over completely apart you can throw em on the smoker at like 275 for an hour to try and set a little bark back on them if you really want to.

Absolutely not. Get a cast iron pan and crisp it up and eat some great carnitas please!

Absolutely not, get a cast iron pan, and crisp the pork up and have Carnitas!

  10. Pulled already…. pot, some apple juice/water, reheat slowly.

My best advice for future cooks is to plan to make more than you need. In the case of pull pork, only pull the amount that you anticipate eating that day. Then you can leave the rest intact, vacuum seal it, and then use a water bath the following day to reheat (I have a sous vide) or freeze it and reheat in water later. It holds probably around 6 months in the freezer. I just reheat frozen pork butt from June like an hour ago and tore it apart. Just as juicy and flavourful today as back in June.

No. Reheat in crockpot! Add a little moisture too if needed like water or apple cider vinegar or something.

Cover tray or it might dry out. Microwave fine to reheat.

I use a crockpot on warm with a little chicken broth. Warms it up and keeps it from drying out.
