Schloss Schauenstein is not just a restaurant, it is Andreas Caminada’s universe hidden in a fairytale Swiss castle. The three-star dinner is deeply rooted in the restaurant’s own garden and trusted local farms, but it never pretends to be a traditional Swiss meal. Instead, Caminada creates a highly personal, unmistakably author’s cuisine, where every product is treated with precision and turned into something entirely his own.
What makes Caminada so remarkable is his bravery with flavors. While many chefs in his league prefer the pastel palette of delicate, subtle notes, he is not afraid to add sharp acidity, a touch of salt, or even a jolt of spiciness to game dishes. These bold strokes don’t overwhelm, they sharpen the focus of his cuisine and make it unmistakably his.
My favorites:
The signature lobster, the tomatoes, the char, the chicken and the apricot predessert and the amazing chariot a fromages!

Wow what a beautiful space with beautiful food!
I was there a number of years ago and seeing this makes me want to go back. Destination dining at its finest.
Did you choose the 5-course menu? I see they have 3 options
Now this looks like proper 3* stuff
