I liked it but couldn't really tell the difference.

I’m a big fan of this brands hot pepper or kimchi tuna myself. The only difference I can tell between this and reg tuna is I think you get more decent chunks. But I’m not an expert 🤷‍♀️

  2. I think the hype is about the seasoned tunas? I only buy the kimchi one because it’s multipurpose for me…but people seem to like both the hot pepper one and vegetable one. I eat the kimchi one as a side with rice and gim, or use it to make kimchi jjigae or soondubu. I’ve never tried the plain one. I buy regular chunk light tuna from Costco cuz it’s cheaper.

Out of curiosity, anyone know how Korean tuna ranks in terms of sustainability and bycatching and stuff?

This is the only tuna my husband will eat so I make sure to buy a couple when shopping at Hmart. It is usually on sale.

I agree. I do like that the tuna cans are the size they are though, compared to normal US cans.

I have completely switched to the Genova Yellowfin Tuna in oil at Costco. The cans are huge and the tuna being in oil provides so much flavor and fatty goodness.

I got a can of the spicy version from HMart 🔥

  7. I really like the plain version. I thought it had a better flavor and texture than the basic stuff in the US. I think it’s the vegetable broth.

  8. Humble brag, im.glad I haven’t had ro buy canned tuna in years ivung in Hawaii. Get so many fresh, catch em myself or friends give. Yellow Fin and Big Eye so good.
