I get this usually once a week with friends and have always just blanket estimated it at 1500 cals. Had the opportunity to bring it home and figured I'd do science to figure it out once and for all (and I know it's somewhat random and every time it's slightly different, I just want a rough ballpark).
I took the chicken out (appears to be thighs) and measured it at roughly 200 grams. Skinless chicken thighs by themselves would be around 280 cals according to the web, but with oil/whatever they cook with I'm willing to bump that up to 450.
The remaining fried rice is shown here at roughly 550, and the container is 50 grams, so 500 grams of fried rice, which the web estimates is 850 cals.
So putting it all together we'd say 1300 calories total. How'd I do?

1300? I doubt it. More like 3000 because of the oils
My first thought when eyeballing it quickly was 1,200. Looks delicious!
