The internals of the case look like it could handle a nasty rotisserie (once it’s cooled down). I just realistically see me throwing these items into a large ziplock back between cooks…and not use the VERY large case…

I still think the case is awesome. If you change your mind I’m still interested in it. Help you recoup the cost of the whole thing. Don’t just let it go to waste

Couple of questions for you if you don’t mind:

Does the new one not have the prongs to hold the meat in place?

Also does the egg close flush and seal reasonably well still? All the pictures I’ve seen are lid open.

Finally the metal bar seems pretty shiny especially where they slim it down at the rim. Does it still feel robust or is it pretty flimsy?

Kinda interested as i managed to secure one of the last of the old style ones and curious to see whether the new one is better and as robust after they were forced to switch.

    TIA

I’m so jealous. I wish I waited. The old version is annoying af to store.

Not to be a negative Nancy, but I’ll be honest. It looks very cheap. Stamped metal brackets, a spit that looks like it was made in china and a $25 electric motor. You’ve maybe got $50 worth of stuff (if you include the fancy case). I’d maybe pay $100 for it, but $300 is outrageous.

That said, the brackets do allow for the lid to close pretty tight considering.
