Just starting my business and curious on what people think would be a fair price for this. Thanks ❤️❤️

Twice the cost of ingredients. Also depends on where you are

Where are you, roughly? I’d expect like $175 in NYC, but in Rochester I’d think like $100 or so would do. Depends where, and depends on how much this weighs.

  3. I have been making boards lately as a side gig and am purchasing quality ingredients from farmers markets and grocers in my area that have higher quality products.

The level of detail and expertise in the presentation of this board tells me labor was likely 60+ minutes, plus time to source materials puts that at a couple hours. From what I’ve read, a 25-50% markup cost on goods + $30/hour for your time is a good formula to use.

The absolute bare minimum I would charge for this is $275.

EDIT: let me clarify a few things. These prices reflect the hobby/side-gig style of board making. We are purchasing pre-sliced and portioned items, which increases cost, as we’re not buying bulk.

A true commercial outfit would likely have a meat/deli slicer and other tools so they can buy supplies in bulk and process it all themselves, which could decrease cost.

In Canada this would cost over 200$ easy

I genuinely don’t think I would ever pay more than $180 for a board. Not saying this board is worth that, I think this is worth higher since I saw your comment about how much the ingredients alone cost. But I just wouldn’t buy if that was the case.

If I had better meats, Crackers and bread I’d say around $250 but I’m underwhelmed by this board.

This looks like $150 board but I agree with the other commenter who said they were “underwhelmed.” You need to have some different, unique, colorful additions. It’s just missing something.

I don’t see what others are talking about this board looks amazing, chocolate, bread, crackers, meats, fresh and dried fruits, dips, multiple cheeses. This board is stunning, my first thought was $150. This board looks scrumptious!
