Contrary opinion; can be delicious. This is called Tau Foo Fah/Douhua (Tofu Flower), a very common Chinese dessert that can be eaten cold or warmed.
My parents would make a lot as a kid with just store bought tofu.
If you have a choice, get silky tofu not firm. And some thin syrup. In a pinch, or for ease, just simple syrup works. But ideally a ginger or palm syrup.
If you prefer savory/salty, you can use a light soy sauce or if you can find a sweet soy sauce, it’s even better.

Not gonna lie I love unseasoned uncooked tofu, but I also had pica as a child and still remember the taste of chalk fondly. So it’s probably a weird thing to enjoy.

People look at me when I’m insane whenever I do this but a block of tofu is barely $2 with an insane amount of protein. I also just really love the texture of tofu honestly and it absorbs every sauce and seasoning you put on it easily to make it even better.

Some Chili Crisp would kick that up a notch. You can make it yourself so it may be cheaper To do that. I just buy multiple jars for my hubby
