Heading to Japan on December and I can’t wait to hit an Oden bar.

Daikon, chikiwa, and konnyaku.
I can’t wait for it to get colder for peak oden enjoying weather.

#1 Daikon, #2 chikuwa, #3 maruten/satsumaage.
Runner up(albeit rarer these days): chikuwabu. Also konnyaku. And aburaage. And shirataki. And basically everything else.
In fact, the only ones I don’t like are hardboiled eggs, which I don’t like in general, and hanpen, because I would rather my marshmallows didn’t taste like fish.
Oden is one of my favorite foods, and I eat it multiple times weekly in the cold months, so I like almost anything in it.

Egg and daikon are really all I need but tofu is good too. I will eat the f out of some braised daikon if it’s left unattended; my husband and I will fight over the last pieces when I make it.

Furikake, dashi, and agedashi tofu, all at once, of course!
