A friend asked if I would like some jalapeños and I said “Sure”. I seriously underestimated how many she planned to give me. I’m going to make some pepper jelly, cowboy candy, pickle, some, and freeze some. Any other ideas?

Stuff with a cheese concoction, wrap in bacon and smoke ’em.

    Jalapeño cream cheese.
If you use the right amount of lime juice (not too much it will make it too watery) it will keep for a while.

Pickles are easy and fantastic on lots of things

Dehydrate, slice thin and fry until crispy, maybe a confit? I feel like a jalapeño butter confit would be…very interesting 😋

Get the biggest ones and make jalapeno poppers

Ferment them and make hot sauce. If you can, find some ghosts or reapers to add heat.

Salsa and/or stuffed jalapeños. When I stuff them I use about 10-12 so that should get your bowl down

Yes, send me some so I can eat it 😋. I dice or sliced , leave it in the fridge uncover to air dry it for later use or make jalapeño salt seasoning. It’s great on steak and taco 🌮.

Cowboy Candy (sweetened/pickled)! You won’t regret it, not super spicy but absolutely delicious

Jalapeno poppers – cut in half, scrape out the seeds, fill with a mixture of cream cheese and shredded cheddar, top with breadcrumbs or bacon, bake until done.

Dry some and grind. Can be added to anything. Eggs, pizza, steak…

If you have a vacuum sealer slice them all up with some garlic and weigh them. Whatever that weight is multiply it by 0.035. Put it all in a vacuum seal bag and ad that weight in salt and shake. Vacuum seal, mark the date on it, leave it on the counter and open it in 1 month.

Now you have fermented jalapeño slices. It will smell similar to sriracha and they’re amazing on everything.

Jalapeño poppers or fried jalapeño for burgers or snacks.

Cut them in half and still them with cream cheese (whipped cream cheese will be easier to work with but normal cream cheese will work too) or pimento cheese and enjoy.

Slice one up and put it in a bottle of vodka for about two days. Then pour it through a coffee filter or a cheese cloth to separate them out again. Enjoy your spicy vodka.
