Fairly new to the BGE game. On about my third use, I noticed this tiny magnet was wedged between the top of my reggulator cap (the part that moves) and the base. I don’t think it was there previously, as I haven’t had any issues regulating the temperature and this presumably would cause issues since it was creating a gap between the top of the cap and the base. Not sure if this has broken off some other part of the cap or if it is something extraneous that just found its way onto the cap in production or shipping. Any ideas?

There are three of these magnets in the top of the “reggulator”. They are a pain to get back in place once they come out, but is doable with something skinny and some patience. I’ve had this happen on brand new eggs on the sales floor (I’m a dealer), as well as mine at home.

My personal egg that it happened to I didn’t bother fixing, it’s full of grease holding it together anyway. At work I will fix it, usually takes 5 minutes and some diligence.

It happens from lifting up when opening or closing the lid to regulator, try not to lift it up. If it doesn’t affect your temps, I honestly wouldn’t bother/worry about it.

If you want to get it back in, pull the lid up a little with firm grip on the bottom (I like to take it off the egg). With a flashlight you’ll see the tree holes they drop into. When you pull it up to see this the other 2 magnets are probably going to come out stuck to lid. All the magnets fight each other trying to get them to seat, and you have to play with opening/closing the top to kind of slide them into place.

Hope this helps, good luck. If it was me and it’s only 1 magnet wouldn’t lose sleep over it
