My husband and I eloped in a mountain pass. I put the pink on the tiers & the top heart border, then transported them separately. I added the border and extra florals from my bouquet on-sight on top of a mountain.
We had some hiccups. One of the tiers got smushed a little bit (we hid it in the back), and my MIL stamped my heart border putting something back into the car. You can see it under the snapdragons on top.
All-in, we had a blast and I made a beautiful tasty cake! Lemon cake with raspberry filling, and a sweet buttercream to balance it back out

I also made & decorated my own wedding cake. I told my coworkers that I can only blame myself if I make the mistakes. But if they made them, I’d always be 😐 😄

Reading ur story gave me flashbacks to when I had to fix my sister’s graduation cake after a tier shifted during transport. U did such an amazing job and now u hv got a beautiful lifelong memory added to such a special day!

This reminds me of the cakes my great-grandma, grandma, mom and aunt used to make in the 70’s. I mean this in the best way possible. This makes my heart happy!
