  1. That looks perfect and carnitas would be my choice too

  2. Quesabirria

So a california-style burrito, but not a California burrito?

  3. MagazineDelicious151

Carnitas are great if done correctly!

  4. luigis_left_tit_25

I’m making carnitas for dinner! Tacos though! Very cool shot too! Fav time of the day!

  5. Given the homes in the picture and the lack of French fries in the burrito, this looks like San Francisco with a Mission Style burrito. Definitely not a California Burrito.

  6. DisastrousServe8513

The driver of that car looked up to see some guy in the middle of the street holding his burrito out like an offering to the gods

  7. Mission burritos are superior in every way and that is a hill I will die on.

  8. Model_Rules_esq

That is not a California burrito. Come to San Diego and have a real one.

  9. As a born and raised Californian seeing non California people post about burritos always makes me laugh. I ate a real Cali burrito for lunch earlier and it looked nothing like this. I live in San Diego mins from the border. What the heck is a California style burrito with carnitas.

Damn looks good and sick background!! Time to get a burrito for dinner to celebrate the padres crushing the giants again today

Hope you enjoyed it! My go to burrito spot was El Super Burrito in Millbrae. Always got the California Burrito there.

  12. Why do I read this with it sounding surprised they ate a California burrito in California?

  13. Fuck dude, now my tired inebriated ass wants a burrito 😭

  14. Aishas_Star

Is it part of the burrito style to stand in the middle of a road to take a photo?

According to the OP, this is the California Burrito from Tacqueria La Perla in Pacifica, CA.

[Meat] / Waffle Fries / Pico / Guac / Cheese / Sour Cream.

La Perla is good, but in my opinion Tacqueria la Mordida 2 blocks away has surpassed it.

  16. why in the world are these tortillas not sold commercially. nothing I can buy in the northeast comes close.

What makes a burrito California style? Asking as an Australian who froffs burritos

Can I love this thread while also fearing for OP’s personal safety? Are they riding a bicycle? What is going on here?

Be safe, and live to report on burritos another day please and thank you for your service.

Only when it’s made in California can it be called a California burrito. Everywhere else it’s a sparkling burrito.

  20. Suavecito in San Mateo does their California burrito with tater tots, not French fries, but it works for me…..

The regional elitism in this thread has got my eyes rolled all the way into the back of my head.
