Customers. Think they are related. Kind of assholes. They come in 7 days a week for all three meals. Super demanding. Incredibly picky…almost never satisfied. The more creative I try to be, the less they like it.

Any advice on plating?

The different foods are touching? Again?! Garcon!

Skewer the pizza rolls and tomatoes, lay over the bed of rice on rectangle plate. Discard peas.

Have you tried making the food into dino shapes and getting rid of the silverware? Maybe they’d prefer more messy

I took too long putting serious thought into this

My VIP would’ve sent the one with tomatoes back and asked for cucumbers instead.

The top plate looks okay, but the bottom one needs some work. First of all, all the foods are touching so the peas have definitely contaminated the rice. Second, way too much color. Ideally, everything on the plate should be beige – rice, white bread, crackers, chicken nuggets, cheese, etc. Honestly if you replaced both plates with a bucket of ice cream, I think your customers would be much more receptive.

    Ditch the plates.
    Dollar store plastic table cloth.
Mounds of food on the table.
Let them eat with their hands.

Take bowl. Throw everything into it and shake vigorously. Pour onto paper plate.

If they didn’t like it they wouldn’t come back. Complaining is probably just part of their dining experience

Put the rice in 1/4 measuring cups to mold them then tap them onto the upper right side of the dish. Place a shmeer of ketchup just below the middle of the dish in a straight line, stack three pizza rolls on the ketchup then two more on top then top of your pyramid with a 6th. Place the pees above the pizza rolls, add salt and pepper as needed. Finally arrange the tomato slices in “ray”s to make your rice the sun. You’ve made a landscape.

  17. I’ll be honest. Sometimes you need to fire the customer. If they are almost never happy maybe they need to go somewhere else. You work to hard to deal with this.

If I didn’t eat what was in front of me, I didn’t eat.

Some people think it’s harsh but I’m fine, and I’m not picky. I’ll eat damned near anything.

Divorce, get a lawyer, hit the gym… wait. Wrong subreddit.

  20. ‘Wolf time’ was effective for me and my sister when we were little. No utensils, no talking. We were a wolf pack descending upon our prey now. Little wolves weren’t picky and didn’t complain, they were hungry animals. Messy and not a polite option around company, but it had a 100% satisfaction rate for everyone involved. (Little wolves always finished their meals!)

Pizza rolls and rice is a mean combo

Sometimes you just comp the meal and ask them to leave…and never come back.

Kids are difficult sometimes…… my kid will eat almost anything, we have been training her since she started eating solid food, but it’s a constant struggle to get her to eat enough, sometimes she’s done after 2 bites

Just kidding. But with my kid, it was either eat most of your plate or go to bed early. At the same time, I won’t cook certain foods that I know are gonna be a hard pass. Also I bribed my kid with dessert occasionally

Kick them out, if they are never happy. Tell them to leave. That simple
