Do you like it? That’s all that matters. Looks delicious to me.

  2. jmc1278999999999

Personally I’m not a fan of fall off the bone but that doesn’t mean it’s bad. As long as it tastes good that’s all that matters. I just prefer to have the bone as a “utensil”

  3. Timmerdogg

I never have thought about trying and now I’m ready to go to the store

  4. Hagbard_Celine_1

For BBQ nerds? Yes. You’re setting yourself up for a bunch of “well actshuallys.” For regular people? They love some mushy ass bbq.

  5. Alcarain

    For competition ribs? Yeah.

For personal consumption. He’ll nah. That looks delicious.

  6. _MadSuburbanDad_

    For competition, probably.

For everyone else, hellllllll no. My only problem in eating those is that I’d go so fast, I might lose a finger…

  7. JavaGeep

They will fail in a rib competition but be a winner in my house.

  8. KendrickBlack502

Tender, juicy meat is never a fail. Is it a little further than ideal? Maybe but everything else looks wonderful.

  9. lockednchaste

It’s the only way my parents like them m

    Depends on what you like.

For me, the perfect cuisson is that you should be able to clean the rib easily with your teeth, but not be able to pull the bone out clean.

  11. RibertarianVoter

If they came out how you wanted them, it’s not a fail.

  12. CantaloupeAsleep502

Only a fail to people who hate good food

  13. Terriblyboard

No not at all. TikTok is for losers. I prefer to do mine were they are just nearly falling off the bone and you can pull them out like that. You can do it without being all mushy. It is past were they normally take a “competition rib”. Also you can make mcribs at home with the left over racks.

Everyone has their own opinions when it comes to BBQ. If your family likes it that’s a win in my book. I like STLs better than BBs and I rather eat a fat ribeye than a brisket.

  15. I love fall of the bone bbq so it’s a win for me

  16. Far_Zone_9512

It matters if you like them like that. Personally, I don’t like fall off the bone… but to each his own.

  17. notdrewcarrey

May get some flack for this, but too many people who do home bbq think they’re in a competition. Just make good bbq. If you, your family, and friends enjoy it, great.

Like others have said, you don’t want them to fall off the bone. However, did they still taste good? Did you enjoy them?

Enjoy cooking and the time spent with family and friends.

  18. chillfi420

Not if that’s the way you like it but pork shoulder is much cheaper if you want fall off the bone style meat.

  19. KarmalizedTaco

I’ve seen fall off the bone, but I ain’t ever seen fall out da rib!

  20. dremag2009

Bone in or out, looks delicious to me. Enjoy!

  21. Heavymetal-714

Yeah it is. Send them here and I’ll dispose of them properly.

  22. Historical-Listen102

I’d love this- OP would you mind posting your recipe?

  23. MagazineDelicious151

I would have no problem with that and they look great but I respect what others are saying as well.

  24. mightyarrow

For comp standards, yes. And that’s it.

That is it. I’d eat that in a heartbeat.

  25. Kiagowhoosh

It’s all about preference. I like it when the bones slide out and or fall off the bone.

  26. Would it do well in a competition? No.

Will it still be tasty as heck? Yes.

Only a fail if *you* don’t like it.

  27. brutusx00

I would get a big ass loaf of Italian bread and just put that whole slab on it with some coleslaw. That’s the best and biggest McRib you will ever find.

  28. deceptivekhan

I like a little chew left in my ribs, but as long as the smoke and rub are on point I ain’t complaining.

  29. tattoodlez

In competition that is overcooked. At my house, that is just right.

  30. IconTactical

I’ll be fall-off-the-bone ribs until the day I’ve died. Yes, we get it, they’re overcooked and you’d lose in a competition. I’ve had them both ways and I’ll always prefer them this way.

  31. A_SimpleThought

As someone who has just stumbled on this sub Reddit, can someone fill me in on what is perceived to be wrong here?

  32. TheTimePolice710

Debone, cut into chunks that fit your bread, add Pickles onion and sauce. Fuck competition nerds lol this shit slaps

  33. tgruener

It‘s nice to see that Reddit has gotten more reasonable over the years. I still can remember those times when BBQ snobs wrote a lot of shit about tender rib meat that fell off the bone.

  34. slindner1985

They look good. They arent falling apart. You can pull the bone out but it isn’t shredding like paper

  35. Underwater_Karma

Why are you asking Reddit if you enjoyed your ribs?

  36. ReallyThisGuyAgain

“Look at me!” Has permeated every sum I guess.

  37. Naughty_old_guy_69

    Yes only by competition standards
But that doesn’t mean they won’t be excellent.
