My aunt lives in Austin and sent these as a wedding gift. Are any of these known for pork, lamb, beef or chicken?

I can only speak on the meyers and salt lick. Meyers is good for everything, but salt lick is not my favorite for beef because it’s a mustard based sauce. I’m of the opinion that sauce on slow cooked beef is to cover up a bad cook, so I only ever choose sauce for chicken or pork.
How about you just open them and try them? Bbq sauce will last months in the fridge…
Well the cliche is “you don’t use sauce in TX.”
Never heard of Meyer, but the rest are all decently well known (Meyer might be too). No specific meat pairing, just use it as a generic dipping sauce.
They are sauces from well known BBQ restaurants/brands. Cook with them and see what you think!
In addition to sausage and chicken, a bit of the Salt Lick sauce is really good on potato salad or slaw.
Love Salt Licks!
We always have Franklin original and salt lick original in the house. Both different, both good. And yes, you can use sauce on slow cooked beef, for dipping only! Don’t pour it directly on the brisket. It’s good to start off without sauce, but it’s totally acceptable to have it on the side for dipping.
I honestly never use bbq sauce on Austin BBQ but that terry blacks one is bomb. The others are just ok to me.
Salt lick goes well with everything

The salt lick one is delicious but just fyi it’s oil based so high in fat and calories. Not super concerning but my husband and brother used to fill
Up bowls of it at the restaurant and drink it. Had no clue they were pounding 1000 calories
For me the type of meat doesn’t matter that much, if you want sauce then go for it. I like Myers pretty good, salt lick sauce is good at the restaurant but the bottled stuff is not the same. Thicker and sweeter, not a big fan. I haven’t liked any version of Franklin sauce. Not sure about Terry, my least favorite bbq in the family…
City market in Luling has fantastic sauce, don’t think they bottle it. I’m not ashamed to say I like Rudy’s sauce too
These are all sauces from popular BBQ restaurants in Central Texas. If you were to eat at one of those restaurants their sauce(s) would be readily available to dip whatever meat you got in.
Which one is least sweet? More vinegary? I was raised my grandad’s vinegary sauces sweetened only with ketchup.
The Salt Lick sauce is my go to for pulled pork
Nope
