Bella Limone is the restaurant taking up the space of the former Pinky’s rooftop lounge, which closed at the end of June.
At 100 S. Main St. with a rear alley entrance, the restaurant opened Thursday, Aug. 21. Among the highlights of Bella Limone are handmade pastas and Italian classics, homemade limoncello, and 100% Italian wine offerings, owner Adam Merkel told the Free Press. The rooftop space has been remodeled and revamped with an open-air vibe and lush garden, according to a news release.
Inspiration for Bella Limone, Merkel said, came from the flavors found during a recent trip to Capri and Positano along the Amalfi coast.
“Bella Limone was created to capture the warmth and vibrancy of Italian hospitality,” said Merkel, founder of Royal Oak Good Times, in a news release.
There is also a banquet hall downstairs for corporate and private events, such as holiday parties, and it is scheduled to open in September. The downstairs Pearl’s Deep Dive space will open in October as Little Bella’s Pizza and Wine Bar with more casual Italian dining.
This forthcoming concept will complement Bella Limone.
From now until Sep. 30, Bella Limone’s food menu is 50% off, and there are deals, Merkel said, on select wines for the first hour of business each day.
Hours at Bella Limone are 4-9:30 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, 4-10:30 p.m. Friday, 3-10:30 p.m. Saturday, 3-8:30 p.m. Sunday. Bella Limone also has valet parking.
