Didn’t label this beef when I froze it. Is this prime rib or chuck roast?

  1. Hard to see the end cut with the bag seam in the middle. If I had to guess from either of the two I would say chuck roast.

    Probably chuck roast. It’s already thawed, so take it out of the bag and show us a real picture.

    Sometimes there’s very little difference between the 2,
    A rib here or there and no one is none the wiser

    If you can chuck it, it’s a roast
    If it’s prime it would’ve slipped right out of your hands

    Edit.. will add that I’ve done that before and now basically have markers all over the kitchen and right next to my vac sealer
