People here may or may not hate on you, depending on the collective mood of the hive mind today.

But I’ve seen many extremely favorable and impressive reviews of that machine. Nice purchase for a do-it-all machine.

As a fellow newcomer I was on this route but the Bambino has thrown me off scent.

I don’t care for frothing of milk
    I’m just an espresso guy…

    Where do I go?

I totally respect that not everyone’s into espresso for the hobby… but damn if it isn’t like Ninja to suck all the nuance out of something.

This sub is controlled by Big Caffeine. Dark forces create posts that drive us all to upgrade our setups and pull double the shots we need to in order to achieve the elusive 18g in 36g out in 25 seconds.

I am very satisfied with my Sage Bambino after owning a huge Italian machine for a decade and don’t know much about the Ninja, but I don’t get the design of the Sage machines and even more so the Ninja. The Sage looks like classic European household appliances, the Ninja looks like the control panel of a spaceship. Do their customers like that? If I would design non-Italian espresso machines, they would look like Braun/Dieter Rams designs. Unobtrusive, restrained, functional and beautiful.

Are you happy with it? I have another superautomatic, but want to change to a Bambino Plus

Wow, posting one of these brings out the contentious folks.

I have 2 setups at home.

    Setup 1: WUG grinder / Flair 58 Plus 2
Setup 2: Ninja luxe US version 1

I love setup 1 and use it when I’m feeling the ritual of coffee or have some beans I really want to experiment with.

That being said I found myself drinking less coffee especially on busy days and going out more often due to the process of Setup 1. My wife also almost stopped drinking espresso at home completely.

I ended up getting setup 2 to use as our quick and dirty machine and ened up liking it a lot more than I thought I would.

Does it come with the emergency cut-off button? Or was that installed aftermarket?

I think this is as lazy as you can get while still making espresso
