Came in to a note from the closers saying “oil needs to be changed”
Oil gets filtered everyday and changed at least twice a week, never in my life have I seen this. What could they have possibly done in 1 night to cause this?! That shit was like charcoal coming out.

I worked in a very fryer heavy restaurant where the landlord stopped paying the oil disposal company so we had to run the same oil for two weeks straight until they got it sorted out and we had a place to put our dirty oil and it didn’t look anywhere near as bad as that when we finally changed it I’m calling bullshit on that fryer getting filtered daily there’s no fucking way

I think the temp must have gotten cranked up? Maybe someone tried cooking something wacky? I can barely believe it got this way so fast. Maybe it has been getting skipped? In 40 years, I can count on one hand the places that put oil off for openers, and it was always horse shit.

Some of these pictures blow my mind man. They would have had to kick me out of the kitchen before I would have left that for the next shift.
