When the recipe said ‘shallow fry’ but my chicken is doing the backstroke in a vat of oil. Send help (and maybe a fire extinguisher).

Homeowners’ insurance policies don’t exclude homeowner stupidity. I saw and paid several claims over the years from dummies catching their house on fire.
Insurance companies would also see a spike in plumbing claims after Thanksgiving, too. If someone already had drain line issues they didn’t know about, their family members all taking huge dumps would definitely cause a very noticeable issue. Lol

Gotta let it thaw out a bit more, my friend. Oof.

Personally I prefer oven turkey instead of fried turkey. One Thanksgiving we did both n the oven one was more moist than the fried one. Getting rid of the oil was a pain n such waste.

So many mistakes, such a short video. Be glad no exposed flames otherwise this would make the fire department’s November PSA reel.

If you submerge it in oil, then it isn’t shallow fried.

Once again this is a case of not being a stupid food but just a stupid cook. Not the same thing

That tub was filled to the max like before the giant bird went in. They should have prepared properly ahead of time. Safety is no accident.
