Here is everything I ate (and more) at a farm stay in Saga prefecture—-just anything the earth has to offer. 💚
All made by hand, simple, thoughtful, and warm. The obaachan host also makes her own umeboshi and sake. She’s the best.
One particular veg is new to me. It’s “myoga” I’ve been told.
“We eat this during the season and when we taste it we know, ah, it’s summer,” the neighbor explained.
Coffee is freshly brewed every morning and can be enjoyed in the company of neighbors or while staring at the rice field turn neon green once the sunlight hits.
