  1. I’m glad my culture pushed to use all this land to farm something better to eat than ocean bugs and food you apparently can’t wash clean

  2. What an obnoxious opinion. Not only is it nowhere near as precious as gold, it literally ruins any perfectly fine dish it touches, gross and gross.

  3. Very good, this was also a staple of ancient European cuisine, known as liquamen in Western Rome and garum in Eastern Rome. The Greeks and Romans used it similarly to how we use ketchup in modern times.

  4. I LOVE fish sauce. Had a friend introduce it to me years ago, never let go of it after 😂

    Oyster sauce too 😋

  5. I have a ridiculously strong sense of smell…this anchovi thing would send me into a comma 🤢 the looks of it alone😭

  6. Garrum, the treasure of the kitchen. Liquid ketchup. A spoon and any dish is just tasting better, period.

  7. I'm not a serious fan of anchovies but for some reason, my mouth is like a waterfall right now… Seeing that sea salt and knowing that it's fresh caught just makes me imagine how good it is. Sorry but if I was there, I couldn't resist trying some😋

  8. fish is not gutted and left tof erment wqitht heir insides and poo?
If it's how it's made then I guess it's safe.
    But it's disgusting to me
