I was invited once many years ago to our new young Vice President of the company my husband & I worked for . This was the first dinner party his new wife was having & she made the best baked zucchini ever, after desert I asked the wife if I could help in the kitchen . She was very firm in saying no ! After a long while I stood up & asked the husband your poor wife is spending the whole party in the kitchen. He said please don’t go into the kitchen she doesn’t want anyone to know her grandma is doing all the cooking and is probably getting the after desert drinks ready now !

I have never seen eggplant sliced in the market ,only cut down what I have grown or a few times bought one or 2 whole .
